Marcia
Weese is an artist and interior design professional. Whether space
planning, designing rugs and furniture or making sculpture and
art, Weese creates restorative and balanced environments. Exposure
to art and design came early. She grew up in Chicago surrounded
by the work of her father, modernist architect Harry Weese, her
mother, interior designer Kitty Baldwin Weese, and their cadre
of friends including Alvar Aalto, Eero Saarinen and Charles and
Ray Eames. She discovered a relationship between these seminal
childhood experiences and her background in art, and made a successful
transition into the interior design business over twenty years
ago. The resulting company, Weese +Design,
collaborates with leading architects as well as commercial and
residential clients across the country. With a classical modern
touch, Weese +Design
has now introduced a new line of high quality rugs--THE PRARIE
COLLECTION. These hand
knotted contemporary rugs are elegant, versatile and
woven to last many lifetimes. |
